The company has ventured into the local construction industry to diversify its revenue stream and to establish itself as a “high performing Bumiputra company” in line with the Government’s policy on Bumiputra Economic Empowerment.
As a TERAS company (approval ref: 13/5/2013 (TSC SWAK 2/2013), K-Frontiers Sdn Bhd is determined to establish itself as a credible and large Bumiputra company that can take on works, which long have been undertaken by other companies.
For that purpose, it holds a G7 license from CIDB for building, civil and electrical works and also, a UPKJ Class A license from the State Government of Sarawak for civil engineering and construction and building works.
Construction Projects
Installation and Commissioning of Generator Houses and Associated External and Internal Electrical Systems for Rural Schools in Miri Division, Sarawak.
The company undertook and completed the installation and commissioning of the generator houses and all associated external and internal electrical systems for 9 rural schools in Miri Division, Sarawak.
The works were undertaken on a subcontract basis and with the Ministry of Education, Malaysia as the ultimate client. The works were undertaken in the remotest schools at SMK Bario, SK Bario, SK Pa Dalih, SK Long Banga, SK Lio Mato, SK Long Lellang, SK Long Tungan, SK Long Sait and SK Long Lamei. The works included transportation of all materials and equipment, construction, installation and commissioning of the buildings and the electrical systems.
The works were inspected and certified by JKR, Ministry of Education, the Main Contractor and the Government appointed civil, mechanical and electrical consultants.
Petronas Gas Pipeline from Kimanis in Sabah to Bintulu in Sarawak: Construction of Right-of-Way (ROW)
The company carried out extensive civil works including land preparation and clearing of 62 km of Right-of-Way (ROW) for the Petronas' Gas Pipeline project from Kimanis in Sabah to Bintulu in Sarawak.
The works also included dealing with local villagers and the rough, mountainous and forest-covered terrain of interior Limbang and Miri Divisions in Sarawak.
PHASE 1: Upgrading and Maintenance of Abandoned Logging Road Long Banga Junction to Pa’ Umor in Bario and Associated Village Roads For 11 Villages in Ulu Baram, Miri Division.
Secured and executed in association with Samling Resources Sdn Bhd, the works included construction, upgrading and maintenance of 142 km of main roads, village roads, construction and maintenance of drains, installation of 246 HDPE
pipes and installation and maintenance of 14 semi permanent steel bridges
Status: Completed.
PHASE 2: Upgrading and Maintenance of Access and Village Roads for 2 Villages (Long Jegan and Long Luyang) in Tinjar, Miri Division.
Secured and executed in association with Samling Resources Sdn Bhd, the works included construction and/or upgrading and maintenance of 7.5 km of village roads and construction and maintenance of drains and installation of HDPE pipes.
Status: Completed.
